CAT 2023: Know how to check percentile

Step 1: Calculate the total number of candidates (N) who attended the CAT (i.e. including morning, afternoon and evening sessions).

Step 2: Assign a rank (r) to all the candidates who appeared in the CAT based on the marks obtained in the QA section. If two or more candidates have the same scale score in her QA section, assign the same rank to all of them. For illustration purposes, let’s just assume that two candidates achieve the highest scale scores on her QA section, and both candidates are assigned a rank of 1. Additionally, the candidate who achieves her second highest scale score in the QA section will be assigned her rank of 3.

Step 3: Calculate the percentile score (P) for the candidate with rank (r) in the QA section as follows:
