FULL TIME! Wolves 2-1 Chelsea
Second-half goals from Mario Lemina and Matt Doherty gave Wolves a 2-1 victory over Molineux, handing Chelsea their third defeat in four Premier League games.
At the start of the second period, Lemina scored an unopposed header from Pablo Sarabia’s corner kick. It was the perfect reward as Gary O’Neill’s side withstood the early pressure and the hosts missed a number of chances, particularly from Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea struggled to find a way back and, as has often been the case this season, they were unable to find a decisive pass in the final third and Cole Palmer was noticeably out of form.

Then in stoppage time, with the visitors pushing forward, Wolves broke through and Hugo Bueno crossed for Doherty, taking advantage of a missed free-kick to score their second goal.

Substitute Christopher Nkunku scored his first goal for Chelsea with a header in the final minute, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side then suffered their third away defeat in the league.
